This 18-karat rose gold model pays tribute to Japanese tradition by capturing the fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms covered in snow, a phenomenon poetically known as "sakura-kakushi."
A design inspired by Japanese nature
The watch features a 38 mm diameter case, faithful to the original design of the 1967 62GS, Grand Seiko's first automatic watch. The absence of a bezel, characteristic of this model, highlights a textured copper-pink dial, evoking cherry blossoms hidden under a thin layer of snow. The rose gold-plated hands and hour markers, as well as the brown crocodile leather strap, harmoniously complete the ensemble, symbolizing the trunk of the tree.
High-precision mechanics
At the heart of this timepiece beats the 9S85 caliber, a high-frequency automatic movement oscillating at 36,000 vibrations per hour. This movement ensures remarkable precision, with a daily deviation of between +5 and -3 seconds, and offers a power reserve of 55 hours. The transparent sapphire caseback allows you to admire the finesse of this mechanism.

The Grand Seiko 62GS "Sakura-Kakushi" will be available from April 2025 in Grand Seiko boutiques and authorized retailers. This model, which is not limited edition, is priced at $31,200.
