Perched atop the majestic Dune du Pilat, La Co(o)rniche embodies French elegance and refinement. This five-star hotel, renovated in 2010 by renowned designer Philippe Starck, offers a unique experience where discreet luxury blends with the wild beauty of the Arcachon Bay.
An architectural heritage revisited
Built in 1930 by Louis Gaume, a visionary entrepreneur, the original establishment reflected the neo-Basque architecture typical of the region. In 2010, William Téchoueyres, a former international rugby player, teamed up with Philippe Starck to breathe new life into this iconic location. The result is a harmonious fusion of tradition and modernity, where every detail has been designed to enhance the exceptional natural environment.
La Co(o)rniche offers 29 rooms and suites, divided between the main house and cabins inspired by local oyster farmers. Each accommodation offers panoramic views of the ocean, the Banc d'Arguin, or the pine forest, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the surrounding nature.

Gastronomy rooted in the terroir
The La Co(o)rniche restaurant, run by chef Christophe Beaupuy, showcases local and seasonal produce. The menu offers a selection of seafood, fresh fish, and delicious meats, accompanied by a wine cellar with over 500 labels. The terrace, a veritable balcony overlooking the ocean, is the ideal place to enjoy a meal while admiring the sunset.
La Co(o)rniche bar, open from noon to 2 a.m., offers a relaxed and festive atmosphere. The menu features a variety of cocktails, wines, and champagnes, as well as tapas and seafood platters. The evenings are enlivened by DJ sets, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere that is all the rage on the Bassin. However, more than for the food, which is sometimes slightly disappointing in terms of volume, people come here for the breathtaking natural setting, the refined decor, and the chance to bump into a few famous faces.
