Kerry Byrne Steps Down as CEO of Belstaff
Belstaff has announced that Kerry Byrne is stepping down from her role as CEO, a position she has held for about a year, since April of last year, after serving in various roles within the group. Kerry Byrne joined Belstaff seven years ago, initially as Head of Merchandising, before moving into the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and then being promoted to CEO in April 2025.
A positive track record following a period of transformation
“After five unforgettable years at Belstaff, I have (metaphorically) hung up my classic leather jacket and am ready to start a new chapter,” the executive wrote on her LinkedIn profile. “It’s hard to fully describe what this journey has meant to me. Leading this company has been a true privilege, but it’s the people and the community surrounding this magnificent British brand that have made it extraordinary. It’s an incredible industry, and it’s a privilege to be a part of it. At the same time, it continues to evolve rapidly, particularly over the past two years, with pressure on margins increasingly weighing on decisions.”
Despite this, she adds, “together, we have embraced change, streamlined the way we work, and refocused on what truly matters: the product, the brand, our heritage, and our mission. In doing so, we have achieved significant revenue growth, major cost optimizations, and laid the foundation for sustainable growth.”
A transition following the acquisition by Castore
The group has not yet announced the name of her successor.
The CEO’s departure comes following Castore’s acquisition of Belstaff, a deal finalized in August 2025 after Ineos—which had owned the brand since 2017—sold it. At the time, Castore stated its intention to drive growth in premium categories, “by leveraging Castore’s networks and expertise in direct-to-consumer and online retail, its supply chain, its growing global retail presence, and its portfolio of partnerships with professional sports teams.”
