As the Watches and Wonders Geneva fair approaches, the Czapek Manufacture unveils a trilogy sculpted from titanium and finished in Cosmic Blue. A collection that combines technical virtuosity with absolute aesthetic coherence, immediately establishing itself at the pinnacle of Swiss Haute Horlogerie.
Three interpretations, one soul
As a prelude to the major Geneva event, Czapek unveils its new Antarctique model, crafted from Grade 5 titanium and adorned with a Cosmic Blue dial. This is no trivial choice. Through the Dark Sector, Révélation, and Tourbillon models, the Swiss maison offers three unique takes on a single collection, highlighting in the process an undeniable rise in the capabilities of its production facilities.
The common thread running through this series is clear: an identical material and a shared hue serving three distinct mechanical architectures. This aesthetic rigor gives the collection a structure far deeper than a simple variation in dial design. It serves as a reminder that in Haute Horlogerie, blue often transcends mere ornamentation to become the showcase for a true technical feat.
Dark Sector: the elegance of emptiness
The Dark Sector model stands out as the most refined piece in this new collection. Its velvety dial, developed in collaboration with the Le Locle-based dial maker Metalem, is structured around concentric circles and minimalist hour markers, formed by subtle openings. A strikingly effective geometric approach, where the void becomes the very signature of the design.
At the heart of this timepiece beats the SXH5 caliber, the first movement entirely conceived, developed, and assembled by Czapek. Debuted in 2020 with the Antarctique line, it serves as the cornerstone of this collection. The manufacture equips this movement with a sixty-hour power reserve and a micro-rotor made of recycled platinum, all enhanced by high-end finishes, including sandblasted bridges and hand-polished edges.
The titanium case is available in a 40.5-millimeter size, complemented by a smaller 38.5-millimeter version. In keeping with the brand’s signature attention to detail, the bracelet is available in a fully brushed version or with alternating finishes on the central links. Prices start at 32,000 Swiss francs before tax.
Révélation: Mechanics in the Spotlight
With the Révélation, the concept takes on a new dimension. The center of the dial is hollowed out to reveal the mechanics, while the peripheral display retains its Cosmic Blue hue. The small seconds sub-dial, delicately off-center at 4:30, appears to levitate on a smoked sapphire disc, also designed by Metalem. The intention is no longer to hide the movement, but to showcase it with the delicacy of a display case.
Czapek equips this model with the SXH7 caliber. While it inherits the dimensions and frequency of the SXH5, its architecture has been redesigned. The brand maintains a sixty-hour power reserve while reducing the number of components, a feat made possible by meticulous skeletonization work that lightens the watch and highlights certain functions on the dial.
Crafted from the indispensable Grade 5 titanium with similar dimensions, this version guarantees water resistance to 120 meters and features a quick-change strap system. It is priced at 42,000 Swiss francs before tax.
The Tourbillon: Kinetic Vertigo
The crowning jewel of this trilogy, the Tourbillon propels the collection into a higher realm. Its dial features an exclusive guilloché pattern called Singularité, crafted by Metalem using a secret alloy. Coated with a Cosmic Blue PVD treatment, it creates a striking sense of depth, offering a perfect contrast to the hypnotic rotation of the flying tourbillon.
This timepiece embodies the culmination of Czapek’s Caliber 9, a movement developed and largely manufactured in-house in La Chaux-de-Fonds. With its 191 components, it delivers an impressive power reserve of 100 hours. The decoration is a testament to masterful craftsmanship, exemplified in particular by the 5N rose gold rotor, meticulously hand-engraved.
Available exclusively in a 40.5-millimeter case, this Tourbillon is water-resistant to 50 meters—a necessary compromise for a design that so generously exposes its mechanical heart. Its price, reflecting its exclusivity, is 67,000 Swiss francs before tax.
A true horological manifesto
Beyond a mere stylistic exercise, this trilogy sends a strong signal about Czapek’s ambitions. The manufacture no longer limits itself to creating exceptional pieces; it asserts a growing integration and mastery of its entire production chain.
The challenge of combining Grade 5 titanium—renowned for its machining complexity—with three radically different calibers attests to the brand’s technical maturity. The Tourbillon, in particular, marks a strategic transition from an assembly-based approach to a true integrated manufacturing capability.
It goes without saying that such high standards come at a price. Priced between 32,000 and 67,000 Swiss francs before tax, this line is aimed at discerning and demanding collectors. More than just a gateway into its world, Czapek presents here a masterful aesthetic and mechanical statement, affirming its indispensable status in the landscape of contemporary Haute Horlogerie.
