Inside The Pool restaurant in Manhattan, the Kering Group hosted the fifth edition of its annual Caring for Women dinner. This event, now firmly established on New York’s social and philanthropic calendar, brought together a group of actors, athletes, and industry leaders with the goal of raising funds to combat violence against women and children.
Funds raised exceeded five million dollars
The evening’s financial results reflect a steady increase in donor commitment. For the 2026 edition, the total amount raised surpassed the $5,000,000 USD mark (approximately €4,480,000). This amount exceeds the $4.5 million raised during the previous event in September 2025. These funds are intended to directly support the activities of four nongovernmental organizations with complementary areas of focus: Activating Change, Fondo Semillas, JBWS (Jersey Battered Women’s Service), and The New York Women’s Foundation.
The fundraising effort was driven by an auction featuring high-end items and exclusive experiences. The group’s fashion houses—from Gucci to Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Pomellato, and Boucheron—contributed exclusive lots, complemented by a work by artist Lorna Simpson. For the first time, the Foundation launched a silent online auction open to the general public, accessible through September 14, 2026. Notable lots included a stay in Paris hosted by Saint Laurent and a gymnastics leotard autographed by Simone Biles.
A Diverse Group of Hosts
Under the honorary presidency of Salma Hayek Pinault and François-Henri Pinault, CEO of Kering and president of the Kering Foundation, the dinner was led by an eclectic committee of co-hosts. The presence of gymnast Simone Biles alongside actress Dakota Johnson, actress and activist Pamela Anderson, and actor Benicio Del Toro underscored the foundation’s commitment to broadening the reach of its message. Polo player Nacho Figueras and artist Lorna Simpson rounded out the lineup of sponsors.

According to institutional data released by the group, the cumulative impact of the five editions of this dinner has helped support more than 3 million women and children who are survivors of violence around the world. The funds raised this year ensure the continued operation of legal aid, emergency shelter, and psychological support programs run by partner organizations.
