The watchmaker H. Moser & Cie. unveils the Streamliner Tourbillon Concept Ceramic. An exceptional timepiece that blends cutting-edge technology with minimalist aesthetics, marking a decisive milestone for the manufacture: the bold introduction of technical ceramic into its flagship collection.
A Groundbreaking Design in Black Ceramic
With this model, H. Moser & Cie. is writing a new chapter in its history by introducing its very first watch entirely sculpted from technical ceramic. The timepiece retains the signature design elements of the Streamliner line with a 40-mm cushion-shaped case, extended by a perfectly seamless integrated bracelet. The finish is remarkable: it alternates between polished sides and vertical satin-finished surfaces—a technical challenge with this material.
Despite its sophisticated appearance, the watch does not lose sight of its ergonomic and sporty purpose. It features a compact thickness of 12.8 mm, water resistance guaranteed up to 12 ATM, and protection provided by a sapphire crystal, ready to face everyday life with elegance.
The Art of Minimalism: Grand Feu Enamel Dial
The face of this Streamliner embodies the brand’s “Concept” philosophy: no logo, no hour markers. Only the material speaks for itself. The dial is crafted from Grand Feu enamel in an intense, smoky “Red Gold” hue. This vibrant shade rests on a textured white gold base, hammered to catch the light.
The creation of this dial is a work of artistic craftsmanship: two enamel pigments are meticulously applied in a gradient, then set through successive firings. The result offers a depth and chromatic saturation that contrast beautifully with the technical coolness of the black case.
Precision Mechanics and Flying Tourbillon
Beneath this minimalist design beats the HMC 805 automatic caliber, operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz). The manufacture highlights the integration of a double hairspring, designed and manufactured in-house by its sister company, Precision Engineering AG (PEAG). This technical feat significantly improves accuracy and isochronism by compensating for the effects of gravity on the balance wheel.
Offering a three-day power reserve, the movement reveals its centerpiece at 6 o’clock: a one-minute flying tourbillon. A true beating heart, it adds striking mechanical depth, the sole moving element on this minimalist dial.
Positioning and Market Context
Listed under reference number 6805-2100, this ceramic version enriches the already acclaimed Streamliner collection, alongside models in gold, steel, or crafted from rare materials such as jade or Vantablack®. This launch reaffirms H. Moser’s commitment to combining traditional watchmaking expertise with contemporary materials.
As for pricing, estimates vary by market and currency. The price is around 89,000 CHF, and can reach approximately 112,400 € depending on applicable taxes and exchange rates.
