The silence that sometimes reigns in the vast warehouses of Nola, on the outskirts of Naples, is deceptive. Behind the facades of the Interporto Campano lies a precision-engineered operation that, in 2025, reached a symbolic milestone. The Sorbino Group, a major player in the transalpine men’s ready-to-wear market, has just closed its fiscal year with revenue of 120 million euros. An increase of 20 million in just twelve months, demonstrating the vitality of a business model rooted in the Campania region but firmly focused on exports. Here, fashion isn’t just about styles; it’s a science of logistics and a story of heritage.

The Six Cousins’ Leadership

The group’s rise can only be understood through the lens of the Sorbino family. It all began with Giovanni, a clothing merchant who instilled in his sons—Ciro, Modestino, and Giuseppe—a passion for well-tailored garments. In 1980, the three brothers turned this passion into a business, starting by selling jeans and pants before building a veritable industrial empire. Today, the baton has been passed to the third generation. This is a rare situation in the contemporary textile industry: six cousins—partners united in solidarity—share the helm of a 20,000-square-meter enterprise.

Giovanni, Gianni, Fabio, Antonio, Francesco, and Marco Sorbino embody this collegial leadership style, in which each segment of the company is overseen by a family member. From production to logistics, from business development to administration, and including retail, roles are distributed to ensure maximum responsiveness. This organic structure allows the group to nimbly manage a portfolio of brands with distinct identities: Sorbino, the flagship brand, as well as Seinse, Dooa, Gazzarrini—currently in the process of being relaunched—and Hamaki-Ho. This family synergy is the driving force behind growth that shows no signs of slowing down, with a 10% increase in business already projected for 2026.

A Commercial Powerhouse Spanning Nola and the Global Market

The beating heart of the group is located at the CIS in Nola. It is within this imposing complex that the collections come to life and the global distribution strategy is coordinated. Gruppo Sorbino relies on a network of more than 2,500 international clients. While its European foothold remains solid with 350 major accounts, the company has successfully expanded well beyond the borders of the Old Continent, with 250 points of contact spread across Asia and the Americas.

However, the Italian domestic market remains the cornerstone of this success, still generating 80% of total revenue. The eponymous Sorbino brand alone accounts for 70% of revenue, or 90 million euros. This dominance is underpinned by an impressive network of 165 single-brand stores in Italy, skillfully combining company-owned stores and franchise locations. Abroad, the strategy differs: the group prioritizes strategic partnerships and franchising to establish a presence in high-potential markets such as Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Japan. The next steps in this geographic expansion are already mapped out, with openings planned in North Africa for the 2026–2027 cycle.

Seinse’s Rise and the Digital Challenge

In the shadow of the giant Sorbino, the Seinse brand is charting an exemplary course. With steady annual growth of 10% over the past three years, it has now reached a revenue of 20 million euros. Its distribution network has expanded to include 700 clients in Italy and 400 internationally, confirming the markets’ appetite for this specific fashion offering. Seinse’s rise illustrates the ability of Gruppo GGM—the umbrella organization for the group’s various labels—to diversify its offerings without cannibalizing its own segments.

Alongside this physical expansion, the digital transition is unfolding in various ways. For the Sorbino brand, direct e-commerce already accounts for 10% of total sales, a figure that underscores the effectiveness of its proprietary platform. For the other labels in the Sorbino ecosystem, the choice has been to collaborate with recognized e-tailers. This hybrid approach allows the company to cover the entire spectrum of online sales while maintaining precise control over its brand image. Within Nola, the 2025 figures are viewed merely as a milestone. The goal is clear: to maintain this steady pace while exploring the remaining markets where Neapolitan style has yet to take hold.
