The Oakridge Park project in Vancouver, with the arrival of prestigious Ferragamo and Bulgari boutiques, marks a key milestone in the city’s move upmarket as it competes with global rivals, focusing on an immersive experience and a meticulously designed architectural environment.
A New Playground for Luxury in Vancouver
Oakridge Park continues its spectacular move upmarket, cemented by the arrival of two iconic names in Italian elegance: Ferragamo and Bulgari. In an industry where the setting matters almost as much as the collection itself, this vast architectural complex aims to establish itself as the must-visit destination on Canada’s West Coast. Billed as the largest retail redevelopment project ever undertaken in the country, the venue—which ushered in its new era in late May—now brings together more than a hundred prestigious brands.
The message is clear: Oakridge Park doesn’t simply want to sell luxury goods; it aims to create a truly exceptional atmosphere. The recently opened spaces fully embody this philosophy, transforming into veritable theatrical stages rather than mere retail outlets.
Ferragamo: Florentine Elegance Reimagined
The new Ferragamo location marks a stylistic turning point. It is the brand’s second boutique in North America—and its very first in Canada—to adopt the brand’s new global architectural concept. The space flows seamlessly into three areas dedicated to accessories, shoes, and ready-to-wear.
Daniella Vitale, Managing Director of Ferragamo Americas, notes that this space creates a dialogue between contemporary materials and the quintessence of Italian elegance. The boutique’s design faithfully reflects the aesthetic vision of Maximilian Davis, creative director. This skillful approach infuses the space with a very contemporary energy while celebrating the historic legacy of the Florentine house.
Bulgari: The Opulence of Rome on the West Coast
For its part, Bulgari unveils a 4,500-square-foot showcase where its iconic collections—Serpenti, B.Zero1, Divas’ Dream, Tubogas, and Octo—take center stage. The decor draws its inspiration directly from Roman architecture. The combination of emerald-green marble, travertine columns, and ribbed walls faithfully recreates the majestic atmosphere of the Eternal City.
The jewelry house has also taken care to anchor its space within its new surroundings. A custom-designed decorative panel establishes a visual bridge between Vancouver and Rome through illustrated maps, delicately connected by the iconic gold Serpenti motif. Hervé Perrot, president of Bulgari North America, welcomed this opening, a true milestone for the brand in Canada, which celebrates the perfect blend of heritage, artisanal craftsmanship, and a bespoke customer experience.
Architecture as the First Promise
These openings go beyond the mere commercial context. They illustrate Oakridge Park’s commitment to attracting leading luxury brands to redefine the landscape of the sector in North America. Spanning 650,000 square feet, the project is designed to host a diverse array of handpicked brands.
While Vancouver does not yet have the historical standing of Milan or Paris on the fashion and fine jewelry scene, the complex aims to bridge this gap through unwavering architectural excellence and meticulous curation. In the luxury industry, the setting is never neutral: it is the first promise made to the visitor, long before they discover the pieces themselves. A perfect illustration of the crucial role that image and design play in the contemporary luxury experience.
