Immagine Italia & Co.: The 19th Edition Comes to a Close and the Aimi Association Is Launched
The curtain has fallen on the 19th edition of Immagine Italia & Co., the trade show dedicated to underwear and lingerie, which hosted more than 200 brands, 45% of which were international. The closing day also marked a turning point for the sector with the launch of Aimi (Associazione Italiana Mare Intimo), created to give a voice to the production sector.
A Sharp Increase in International Attendance
The event, which took place at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence from February 14 to 16 and was organized by Underbeach, saw a significant increase in foreign visitors. Foreign visitors rose from 32% of the total in the 2025 edition to 40% in 2026, representing a 25% increase. The overall number of visitors remained stable, while international buyers came from 35 different countries, led by Spain, the CIS countries, Germany, France, and the United States.
The Strategic Launch of Aimi
“The results of this edition of Immagine Italia & Co. confirm the event’s central role on the international stage,” commented Alessandro Legnaioli, president of Underbeach. “This year’s event also represents a historic moment for the sector, marking the launch of the new professional association AIMI. This is a fundamental step, considering that Italy was among the few European countries that did not yet have a dedicated representative body. Our goal is to build an open, inclusive association that truly serves businesses, capable of offering concrete solutions and actively contributing to the sector’s growth.”
