Launch of the new Freddy Teamwear division
Freddy Teamwear is here. It is a new business unit dedicated to sports clubs, as well as technical gear for federations, teams, and organizations. More specifically, this new business division is taking shape thanks to a partnership between Sigoa, a brand specializing in technical apparel for artistic gymnastics, and the sportswear and lifestyle brand Freddy.
The collaboration between Freddy and the Italian Gymnastics Federation (FGI) has actually been in place since 2002. Recently renewed through the end of 2025 for an additional four years, it is now being strengthened with the launch of the new 2026–2027 official merchandise collection. The Freddy x FGI collection features a complete range of technical and leisurewear, complemented by the official cap with FGI embroidery and “ITA” lettering.
A Strategic Partnership with Sigoa
Founded in 2002 by sisters Giorgia and Sabrina Buzzi, Sigoa is now the official supplier to the Italian Gymnastics Federation and outfits more than 400 artistic gymnastics schools in Italy and abroad. “After our significant journey with Sigoa, we felt the need for a partner capable of taking us to the next level without compromising our identity,” the founders stated in a press release. “At Freddy, we found a shared vision regarding the importance of technical quality and service to sports clubs. Partnering with Freddy allows us to build on our experience and help grow the artistic gymnastics sector.”
Ambitions for growth in the world of organized sports
For its part, Freddy has introduced innovative solutions to the activewear market over the years. Today, the brand is present in more than 50 countries with a multichannel distribution network encompassing retail, wholesale, and e-commerce. The company generated revenue of approximately 30 million euros in 2025. Through the development of the Teamwear division and the strengthening of its partnerships with federations and top-level clubs, Freddy aims to consolidate its presence in the world of organized sports, creating new growth opportunities in the market for technical sports equipment.
“This partnership represents a natural step in Freddy’s journey,” adds Carlo Freddi, the brand’s president. “Sigoa is a highly valuable entity with in-depth knowledge of technical products and the world of artistic gymnastics. Thanks to Sigoa’s expertise, our industrial experience, and a targeted marketing strategy, we aim to build an ambitious project that will become a benchmark, including in new sports segments.”
